Lemuel Petlacalco Lehmann

Founder of Cancun LDS Tours

Lemuel was born in the outskirts of Mexico City in 1971. He is married and sealed to Lorena. Together Lemuel and Lorena raised 4 amazing children in the gospel. His testimony of the church is his biggest legacy. He was a beloved husband, father, friend and an amazing Tour Guide for all our friends that visited our beautiful land.

During more than 35 years as a Tour Guide in Mexico, he shared to so many members of the church the knowledge he had of the Mayans in different archeological sites in the Yucatan Peninsula, Chiapas and the rest of the states of Mexico.

He leaded tours in Chichen Itza, Ek Balam, Tulum, Coba, Dzibanche, Kinich Na, Chacchoben, Uxmal, Kabah, Sayil, Labna, Palenque, Izapa among many other important archeological sites in English, French, Italian and German.

He served as a Bishop, Stake President, Counselor in Cancun’s Mission and in many other callings during his life. God called him to serve now in Heaven and we know he will still preach the gospel just as he did here on Earth.

Lorena Petlacalco

Owner and Managing Director

Lorena is Lemuel’s beloved wife. Lorena is the first and only member of her family. When Lemuel preached her the gospel, she prayed and asked God if The Church of Jesus Christ was the true church. She got baptized and got sealed to Lemuel in the Mexico City Temple.Ever since then, she has been an active member of the church. She has served as Relief Society Stake President, Family Search Stake Director, and as a Temple Worker.

Lorena is a Psychologist and has a Master in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She has a lot of experience understanding people desires and needs.

She was for many years Lemuel’s right hand. She knows all about the company. During Lemuel’s last days, Lemuel worked with Lorena side by side to make sure the company keeps its quality and purpose. They know the importance of providing an excellent service and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ while guiding around the magical places in the Riviera Maya.

Lemuel Junior is Lemuel’s first child and only son. He was born in a small village from the Mayan Area called Felipe Carrillo Puerto in Quintana Roo State. He is 31 years old. He is happily married with Lucy and has 2 boys.

He served his mission in San Jose, Costa Rica, by the years 2012-2014. He has been working active in the church. He has served as an Elders Quorum President, Young Men President, Young Men Stake Counselor, Bishopric Secretary, and others.

He used to live in Orem, Utah where he went for school at UVU. He is the CEO of Global Yacht Rentals and works together with Cancun LDS Tours to give the tourist the greatest experience here in Cancun. His dad taught him how to give LDS tours. He has been a Tour Guide since he was 17 years old. With more than 14 years of experience, he has make his tourist have the happiest and knowledgeable vacations at Cancun, Mexico! ”

Vanessa Petlacalco

Certified Tour Guide and BYUI Alumni

Vanessa is Lemuel’s first daughter. She was born in a little town called Felipe Carrillo Puerto in the Yucatan Peninsula. She is 27 years old. She is married and sealed to Yovany Perez and together they have a beautiful daughter. She has a Business Degree at BYUI. She lived in Canada for 2 years.

Her beloved dad taught her how to do tours since she was little. She studied to become a certified Tour Guide for 3 years. She studied archeology, anthropology, history, astronomy among others. She started to formally work when she turned 17 years old. She has 10 years of experience doing tours. She also has many certificates on turism-related topics. She loves to read and learn more of the Mayan history, the history of her ancestors.

She is very active in the church and has a strong testimony of the Savior. She would love to share her knowledge and testimony of the gospel with you while exploring the incredible Mayan Ruins!
